Farm Info
Antônio Sergio da Silva began his coffee career in 1985 alongside his wife, Maria Aparecida Silva. They worked together on leased land, producing coffee and raising their three children with their farming income. In 2010, the couple purchased Fazenda Serrinha in São Gotardo, Minas Gerais, which occupies a good location for coffee growing due to its altitude and microclimate. Today, Antônio and Maria cultivate 15 hectares of Catuai and Catigua plants across the 25 hectare property.

Cerrado Mineiro
The Cerrado Mineiro region in northwest Minas Gerais, Brazil’s first Protected Geographical Indication for coffee, is known for its well-defined seasons, ideal for drying. Home to 4,500 farmers producing 6 million bags per harvest, it consistently delivers rich, chocolatey coffees with a velvety texture. Settled in the 1970s, farmers improved acidic soils to establish thriving estates at elevations of 800–1,300m. With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, many growers are second or third-generation professionals, ensuring Cerrado’s reputation for high-quality, repeatable coffee profiles.
